If taking the subway ...
Follow the system to the Haymarket T stop where the Green Line and the Orange Line intersect.
Exit the T station and walk 1 block south on Surface Rd.
Turn left onto Hanover St and walk down about 6 blocks to Salutation St. on the right.
The fire station is diagonally across the street on the left.
Turn right onto Salutation.
The churh is #9 with the double doors on the right.
If driving from the North ...
Take 93 South over the Zachem Bridge and into the tunnel. The first exit in the tunnel is for Government Center
and the airport. Take that exit (24A) and stay to the right towards Government Center. Do not head towards the airport. Once you come out of the
tunnel stay to the left and make a left at the first traffic light onto Surface Road. Make another quick left just after that at the light onto Cross St.
This will
put you on Commercial Street and take you into the North End. As you travel down Commercial Street, there will be a
traffic light at Starbucks followed by various pay parking lots on the right and left where you can park. For more
information about parking, see the notes below.
Continue down Commercial Street until you reach the next traffic light. At that light, make a left hand turn onto
Battery Street. At the end of Battery make another left and then yet another quick left onto Salutation Street, which
is a small, narrow street just wide enough for one car. The church is the second building down Salutation Street
on the right.
If driving from the South ...
Take 93 North into Boston. After entering the South Station Tunnel stay in the right hand lane.
Take exit 23 Gov't Center. Stay right, to North End.
At Light, turn left onto Cross St.
At next light, turn right onto Hanover St.
Go 0.3 miles to Salutation St. on right.
The fire station will be on your left. Salutation St is
diagonally across the street.
Turn right onto Salutation.
The churh is #9 with the double doors on right.
Parking
The Parcel 7 public parking garage provides free parking on Sundays until
1:00pm in the afternoon. The garage is located next to the Haymarket T stop.
The entrance to the garage is on Sudbury Street.
In order to take advantage of free parking, bring your parking stub to the
church and have it validated. (Validation stamp is located at the
information desk in church café.)
The parking garage is near the subway so you the walking directions from the subway (above) to
get to the church from the parking garage.
Parking options:
There are a limited number of visitor parking spaces along Hanover Street.
There is metered parking along Commercial Street. You do not need to put
money in the meters on Sundays.
There are pay parking lots long Commercial Street which average around $12
for parking.
Parking is difficult to find in the North End so, when possible, it is
easiest to take the subway.
